Successfully raises R150 million by way of a rights offer

Conduit changes its strategy to also include long-term investments

Conduit changes its FTSE and JSE sector classification to Non-life Insurance, Full line Insurance

2008

Advent of global financial crisis

Conduit and its subsidiaries remain in a “holding pattern” with minimal investments in order to protect its balance sheet until 2014

Successfully raises R65 million by way of a rights offer

Acquires 100% of Constantia Risk and Insurance Holdings Proprietary Limited (then known as CICL Investment Holdings Proprietary Limited and its subsidiaries, including Constantia Insurance Company Limited, Constantia Life Limited and Constantia Life and Health Assurance Company Proprietary Limited

Acquires 40% of Anthony Richards and Associates Proprietary Limited

2005

Successfully raises R5.5 million by way of a general issue of shares for cash

IMR Investments Limited changes its name to Conduit Capital Limited (“Conduit”)

2001

TAG sells its asset management and stockbroking businesses, changes its name to IMR Investments Limited and remains a JSE-listed shelf company

Lists on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange

Founded Conduit Capital Limited (then known as The Appleton Group Limited (“TAG”)) by combining Appleton Asset Managers and Irish & Menell Rosenburg Stockbrokers
